Raid Builds. Raid and Strike Mission builds for GW2. A wide variety of recommended/meta, great and viable builds and guides for all classes in Guild Wars 2. Section builds are up to date for the November 28, 2023 patch.
Just enjoy buddy, every class work. Here are the list that can heal later, doesn't matter which one is best since it all can change one day of balance patch anyway, pick the one who look cool to you : - Necro => Scourge - Elementalist => Tempest - Ranger => Druid - Engineer => Mechanist/scrapper - Guardian => Firebrand - Thief => Specter
I would say that the classes in GW2 all play a little bit differently than in WoW, however if you are looking for something similar feel-wise to Death Knight, I would suggest Revenant or maybe Guardian as a more magic oriented heavy armor wearing fighter. For a Warrior vibe, well, there is always a Warrior.
What I mean by engaging and snappy gameplay from start to finish is a class that has a lot of variety in combat, something with quick attacks, that can be creative with the gameplay, but also packs a good punch, and generally stays that way throughout all elite specs (at least 2 of 3) so I can best enjoy all expansion content in one go.
Otherwise, Guardians and Warriors make good use of them, especially for pvp, or at least as a back bar weapon. New Revenant elite spec also uses GS well, but like Necro, you can’t lvlwith it since it requires End of Dragons and max level. Share. Gadiusao.

eZ8pKp. Posted May 7, 2018. @"Tycko Larsson.7829" said:The class with the most cc to my knowledge is the Engi. Doubt any other can have 9 cc skills on the same skillbar. Thief. Spam 4x headshot, reflexive strike, Steal (daze, ini return and stealth), hook strike, headshot, Palm strike, impact strike and tripwire.
Necromancer, mainly Scourge. Pros: The best survivability due to huge amount of barriers. Easy to play, no skill rotation. You can boost your passive healing by using runes of tormenting. Cons: Slow, no access to boons. 2. Thief (Daredevil or Deadeye, depends on situation). Pros: The best passive heal in game.
Otherwise, Guardians and Warriors make good use of them, especially for pvp, or at least as a back bar weapon. New Revenant elite spec also uses GS well, but like Necro, you can’t lvlwith it since it requires End of Dragons and max level. Share. Gadiusao.
[Guide] One of the most common questions new players ask for help picking out a class to play. Below I've summarized the selling points of all the classes, as well as detailing their Elite Specializations which are class variants you can unlock in each of the game's expansions. Before we get going I'd just like to go over point out a few things:
It is build. And Warrior has in-sane CC. Just use maces on backbar. But yes, not the best spec to solo bounties. I'd use axe for front bar on ranger instead of dagger. Stacks might too. And Maul - Hilt Bash - Maul - Worldy Impact is pretty impressive damage. All aside, Reaper is pretty much the best for soloing open world group mobs.
Mirage is a pretty strong option for solo play. Here's a sample boss solo. You could also try weaver. It has very strong damage and can sustain quite well, but it probably takes more effort to play well than most classes and if you're using sword the lack of a ranged weapon swap can limit its versatility a bit.
