It depends on battery charge, electrical load and various temperatures. The system doesn't ever turn itself off using the switch. If there is a fault preventing the system working, a warning will show on the dash. If it's just not stopping because the parameters haven't been met, that isn't actually a fault.
This is on a 57 plate Mondeo Titanium X. The normal key reprogramming trick of turning the key in the ignition so many times in 6 seconds wont work, as there's no ignition. The failsafe involves inserting the fob into where the ignition would be. Any help would be appreciated.

David2206. A Quick fix if your "Bonnet Open" warning on dash comes up and possibly electric windows, washer pump, air blowers and mirrors stop working. Take bonnet sensor socket off the bottom/ underneath side of the latch assembly carefully, it may have a squeeze connector on the side of it.

Hi, I have Mondeo mk4 2011 and the windshield wipers does not work properly. When turned on, they will run for 9 strokes before stopping somewhere om the windshield. This happens 3 times before they stop working alltogether. Then I must either stop the car and turn the ignition of and restart the engine, then they will work in the same fashion

Mondeo econetic start/stop has Stopped start/stopping. Start/stop has gone from intermittently not working, to not working period.
